san francisco chiming in

Since I've been burning hours on this site when I should be working, I thought I'd post up and say hello.

While this town isn't known for being cigar friendly, I live a block from golden gate park and find plenty of places to enjoy cigars. Smoking around my bird dog (named mason) probably isn't doing his nose any favors, but he associates the smell with long walks and loves it when I pull out a cigar.

I'm new to cigars but so far I have enjoyed: ashton vsg, monte white, padron 1926. Now that I'm smoking once a week vs once a quarter, I've ordered some El ray del mundo's and a CAO sampler to find some everyday choices.

My wife and I are expecting our first in a few weeks. I'm determined to have cigars on hand to smoke myself and hand out, even though no one I know is going to actually smoke them.

Wow, another San Franciscan, maybe we can change the perspective of the city being the most unfriendly city in America on cigars. I'm on 16th and Pacheco about 6 blocks from the park. I'm also another noob, just joined, but just loving my smokes and freezing outside in the cold. Have you checked out Havana Cigars on 16th and Irving (a tiny B&M) that sells their own unbanded domincans? It's the size of a large closet, but their smokes are incredible.

Re: san francisco chiming in

Welcome to CS! Also, congradulations on your baby! Definately smoke one to that!

Slowly but surely, there are more & more newbs popping up from the SF Bay. We seriously need to get together and HERF it up one day. Perhaps at a ballgame or something?

I'll have to check out that store you recommended when I'm in the city. I'm out in the East Bay too.
