Just saying hi, and asking a few questions!
Hi guys this site is awesome!!
So I just joined the forum after smoking a Punch Gran Puro that my boss gave me. What's better than a free smoke? I also ordered the 90 rated super premium combo from CI. Seemed like a good deal for $79.00. It even comes with a humidor. So I can give back the Tupperware to the woman. My question is, how can I maintain proper humidity in a humi that has no hygrometer? Thanks for all the great info on this site!! Happy smoking... |

Welcome to Puff.
There are a couple of things that will maintain humidity at a certain %...humidity beads, Boveda packs, etc., but I would still invest in a digital hygrometer and make sure it is calibrated. When you think about it, it's a small investment compared to the money you'll be spending in cigars, IMO. |

I have every intention of getting a digital hygro. I'll probubly want to use beads along with it. The humidor I am getting has a humidifier in it, however I'm not sure how it works. Does it have beads or crystals in it already or will I have to buy them seperate?

I did check out the picture of it over at CI, and I'm not positive but it will probably come with a sponge inside.

I dig the little Western Digital III hygrometer that came with my humidor, compact, accurate, and takes only seconds to update the relative humidity display. I think they're about $20.
