It is hot in Houston!
Hello everybody! My name is Patrick and I am here to tell you a little about my self. I have been smoking for about 2 years. I am very happily married. I work in the IT business. I enjoy a fine single malt. I am a dedicated intermediate level chef. I support Arsenal FC and the Dallas Cowboys. I was born in the D/FW area so I will soundly reject any comments of bandwagon jumping. As for Arsenal...nevermind.

My father in law turned me on to the pleasures of a lovely ci-gar about 2 years ago but I became a fanatic during the aftermath of Hurricane Ike. We were without power for almost 2 weeks so we stayed with the in laws (who were also sans power). We spent the evenings grilling our supper and then enjoying a smoke and a single malt while watching the sunset. Easy livin'.

I enjoy the way a nice smoke makes me more aware of my other senses. I enjoy the way the pace of it regulates my breathing and slows my mind after a long day. Mostly, I enjoy hearing myself think. Occasionally Mrs. Totoro joins me and that is ok, too. Turns out I like the sound of her voice. Lucky me.

I'll chime in when I have something to say. I'll stay quiet when I don't. Look forward to meeting you all.

I have to agree with you about the heat, I'm finding it hard to sit out and enjoy a smoke. Even just the two or three times a week that I do smoke. But you gotta do what you gotta do.
