Carrying case?

I need a case to protect a cigar or two or three when I'm out and about for the day.

I tried a cheap leather case and didn't like it - didn't have a stiff enough shape to prevent crushing, and the leather tanning smell was pretty strong.

Before I spend a bunch of money on a metal, tube type case. I wondered if maybe I should just buy a couple of premium cigars that come in metal tubes and reuse the tubes?

Or can anyone suggest a favorite case?

thanks!

Re: Carrying case?

I use a couple of test tubes with caps in various sizes. Does a great job but doesnt do much to impress the elite.

Cheers

Re: Carrying case?

I use this. Although it will not hold anything super fat. It is the McKinley "Dura-Tuff" Hip Case. Cheap too! Almost as cheap as a few Tupperware boxes.

Great Idea! I don't have anyone I need to impress. I may give that a try. But glass ... I'd hate to get in a car crash or something with a test tube in my pocket.

Re: Carrying case?

Personally, I love my cigar caddy! They are water-proof & just about indestructible, for a very reasonable price. They have 2 & 5 cigar models for everyday use and bigger models for long voyages. Check 'em out.

Great case, beats my test tube idea hands down. Wonder if they will ship to South Africa?

Cheers

I am having a smile reading this post. For almost forty years I had almost only purchased metal tube type cigars, to protect them, being stowed in my inside uniform pockets, backpacks, uniforms etc. When I had a K9 I even stowed them in his or her carry pack.
Those tubes protected my cigars through various wars and deployments. Stopped them from bein squashed most of the time, but even then I wound up with tubes bent in half.
Its only the last few months have I expanded my horizons.
Mjuch regards Jerry

How about this?

Look at Amazing Cigar Bargains website and look at the 12th deal down on the right side of the page. I'd post the link, but I can't do that just yet.
