howD everyone,

My name is Dudley Kelso and I decided to do the right thing, which I rarely do, and check in. I'm a know nothing new guy from sunny Camp Lejeune, NC and won't be posting that often, mostly just reading and learning. I've got a few questions that I'll address in the right areas, but after that, I'll just be ghosting the place.

My background is pretty straight forward, I'm a 23 yr old Marine Corps infantryman with tours in Afghanistan and Iraq (where I got to enjoy a few 'illegals', though poorly kept they were). I started smoking cigars with my friends when I was 18. Me and my friends would grab a Macanudo from the local smoke shop and burn it on a Sunday evening.

I never tried learning anything about various cigars, etc, I just walked into the walk-in, picked up a single that looked promising and took it home. I either liked it or I didn't. Then I bought a desktop humidor and stocked it, and right about that time I left for the Marine Corps. Wasted ~27 cigars!

I decided to pick my humidor back up after my last post-deployment leave block and am getting it all set back up and re-seasoned and then I'll have to find a good site to place a few orders on a bundle (I'm sure someone in here is going to recommend me a place... or two! -- and I'd appreciate it.. otherwise I'm ordering from Thompson).

While in Iraq, my sister signed me up for Cigars for the Troops, which is a pretty nifty little thing done by Clay Carlton out West, where he sends troops a box of cigars. I did a search for him on the forum, but couldn't find him, so I guess he isn't a member, but he basically "bombed" me overseas and I wanted to thank him. Although, I don't know if it was a true bombing, since my sis put me on his mailing list. Either way, great thing to have done.

Anyways, I guess that's about as much background as I can give without handing over my birth certificate. By the way you can find that at...
