Hello to all! The forum is a welcome respite to the everyday grind. I've had the opportunity to read a bunch of posts and respond to a few as well. Being a relatively new "BOTL", it is great to hear from the FOG's and newbies alike. Looks like a great bunch of guys with some good insights. Thanks for letting me in!
A bit of background on my re-intro to the leaf. I work for a small internet company in GA. About 6 months ago, 5 office mates and I started in on a "biggest loser" competition. No, not that kind. The kind where we try to lose the most weight over an 8 week period. Well, my best buddy, the CEO and I spent more and more time together at the gym and as a sort of reward for working hard, LT, the CEO hands out a few good sticks and gives the "smoke 'em now that you got 'em" order one night after work. Well, that one night sort of spiralled into "cigar smoking Fridays" shortly thereafter. Everyone started going to the local B&M and picking out some choice sticks to hand out for Friday after work for a micro-herf (didn't really call it that at the time). Well, that really got us going and then it seemed like every day was "cigar smoking ___day". It really became a heckuva way to hang out with the guys and relax after work. My taste is developing and I am getting to sample some fine tabacco of all kinds. The weather here has been nice, so a 7 or 8pm stick makes me sane now, chilling with the dogs out on the deck. Since my GF doesn't mind stogies at all, she has been a supporter to go and have some fun. I have done just that. Well, I am waiting for my first small humi to arrive and once I have that going, I am sure the passion will be only beginning... Cheers to all, I hope to chat with you soon! CD
