dy - i'm actually over at BU.

shoe - that's cool about your son. like you said, at that age, plans can change pretty easily (i know mine did, before landing on dentistry)...but if he's dead set on it, he can do it -- it's a great profession, and there's a definite need for more dentists (although i'm sure the general population would beg to differ! ha). anyways, if he ever has questions or anything, i'd be happy to try and answer 'em.

Thanks for the offer Chris. He may want to take you up on that one. I'm trying to encourage him to start now reading up on everything he can get his hands on even if it's over his head for now. He wants to attend UNC-Chapel Hill and have a general practice. My longtime dentist is a graduate of UNC and has agreed to talk with him. His best friend is considering the same thing (orthodontia) and they're planning to partner. It's cool that they can think like that. You know, the general practitioner feeding the orthodontist business and visa versa. I hope it pans out. We'll definitely do what we can to help him.
