Re: Newbie in Arizona
Well thank ya'all !
I see us Arrrrrizonan's have a reputation to live up to. Yup, were all a little nutso around here (Must be the heat) I'm up in northern Mohave county, North of Kingman ... Cowboy country about 30 miles from the west rim of the big ditch the rest of you call the grand canyon. and yes, I wear boots, a cowboy hat, drink Bourbon, drive a big ol' one ton pick up and pack a hog leg everywhere I go. And I've been known to chase a Bovine critter around every now and then. I'm a custom saddle and Gun leather maker by trade, own my own small shop up here. looking forward to spending some time on this forum and hope i do my fellow Arizonan's proud ! And yes, there are Mountains up here, and snow in the winter too. Thanks for the warm welcome all of you ! Stitch. |

Re: Newbie in Arizona
Welcome to the jungle Stitch! I may have to hit you up for a custom cowboy action rig one of these days. My two .45's are in sore need of something that says "yep, I shoot as good as I look'!
I used to chase Longhorns around for many years. Got tired of being broke all the time, but sure miss the life. A tip of my Stetson to ye for kickin' the cig habit. Same $$ spent on 'gars will be far more rewarding!

Quote:
I'll toast you with my glass of Evan Williams tonight, anyone who tries to make a "Living" chasing cattle is either nuts, or nuts. I figured that out 20 years ago and became a saddle maker, Now days I help some of the locals run a herd now and then. These days I specialize in old West type gun leather ...been a booming market for quite some time, when I get the new web site up and running I'll post a link so you can see it. As for the Cigars, used to smoke em' years ago and am now learning how much i missed them, and how much cigarett's STINK Looking forward to learning from all you old pro's here |
