Hi, I'm a new guy from Tennessee
Hi everyone,
My first cigar was a gift to me from my grandmother, when I was nine years old. She gave me a Hoyo de Monterrey that she brought with her from the airport after returning from a trip to Hong Kong. I had begged her for a cigar for about a year before that because I knew she was an easy mark and my Dad would never allow me to smoke one unless he was overruled by his mother. Since that day I have loved cigars. I have smoked an average of a stick a week since I turned eighteen. I've enjoyed the vast majority of cigars I have tried. The last few years I have been smoking a lot of maddies but I have noticed a trend toward full bodied smokes very recently. Right now I still find it hard to beat a Padron 6000 for the price. I have been reading the posts here for awhile and I am happy to join up. By the way, my username is the average temp of the end of a lit cigar while being drawn. It is not because I am a pyro...I think. |

Re: Hi, I'm a new guy from Tennessee
Hey welcome to Club Stogie. I bet there are very few of us that say we got started in this hobby by our grandmothers. I have to agree with you that I'm not sure there are better sticks than the Padron thousand line for the money.

Re: Hi, I'm a new guy from Tennessee
Welcome to Club Stogie... Nine? Wow, I'm impressed. So did you continue to smoke from nine on or did you have to wait until 18 after that first hit? Or did you not smoke it at nine and wait until 18 for it all? I'm curious.
