Nice to meet you, Steve.

I moved from rainy and cold Eugene, Oregon to rainy and cold Tasmania about two years ago.

Welcome to CS!

My wife was down in your neck of the woods last autumn (your hemisphere). She visited NZ and fell in love with it. Want's me to go with her again. Hows Tasmania as a side trip?

Re: Howdy From Or-Y-Gun

A little about me, huh? Well I'm 46, married and have a 23 yo son. We have a cat (Zuzu) and a yellow Lab (Fido). I like big game hunting and whitewater rafting.

I work as a marketing applications engineer for a company that manufactures automated test equipment for testing computer chips (I do mixed signal stuff for those who know a bit about what I'm talking about).

Been smoking cigars, off and on, since I was too young to legally buy them. I enjoy a couple cigars a week (this week I'm going through withdrawals as I've got a bit of a cold). I tend to like robusto and the like. Prefer the shorter cigars as I'm already married and I can only handle one long term commitment at a time. Like 'em medium bodied and a bit stronger.

My job takes me overseas a bit (mostly asia) and I try to indulge in sticks that are, er, difficult to get here.

I was raised here in Oregon, with a short stint in Oklahoma when I was a kid.

My other guilty pleasures are scotch and bourbon.

Mainly here to learn. You'll soon find out how dumb I am after the first few questions I ask...

-Steve

Sounds good. I'll keep the beer cold and the barbie warm when you get here!
