Hi y'all
Just wanted to say hi from Dickinson (halfway between Houston and Galveston). I've been smoking about a year, started with some samplers from Thompson, and have moved on from there.

My tastes have grown to anything by Gurkha, and most IT's. Usually smoke only twice a week, due to just hot weather down here. If I play golf, or poker with the guys that may double. Interested in learning more about cigars, their different flavors and their care. Recently found out about CBid, which has been more of a curse then a blessing. So I'm interested to get what opinions y'all have on cigars I might be interested in.

Welcome to the club . You just took all the fun out of my just ordering a 9-pack of Gurkhas. Oh well it will probably happen again. By the time they reach Dallas they will be heat-treated real good maybe that will make them better.

Welcome to CS. I truly don't mean to sound like a smart a$$, but try them ALL. The search is so much fun. What is good to several of us may not be good to you. Average priced cigars that I like are: Padrons X000, La Flor Dominicana, El Rey del Mundo, La Gloria Cubana. Bundles that I always keep in my humidor: Consuegra

The NST is a great way to get some cigars that are liked from the more experienced gorillas.

Oh trust me I smoke what ever I can get my hands on, I'm not stuck on anything. I enjoy some less expensive smokes like Cu Avana or Slow Aged 826. But I especially enjoy whatever my buddies carry in their golf bags. But you know, I trying to make a good impression, I just listed a couple of my go to favorites.
