Just a newbie hello from Kansas City ... umm ... "Hello"
Just a quick introduction & hello from a Club Stogie newbie.

Here's a little about me ... feel free to :s

The names "Doug" ... good to meet the lot of ya here at CS. I'm thirty-seven and live alone in a 1-bedroom apartment with 8 fish, several snails, a few crabs, a couple of corals, a kingsnake names "Partagas" and a killer shrimp (stomatopod) named "Guido".

What's my go-to smoke ?? ... sadly enough, Marlboro Red ... which, believe it or not, is better than what my go-to smoke used to be...but we won't go there.

I've been smoking the odd once-in-a-blue-moon cigar for about fifteen years now ... mostly Punch or Partagas. About a year ago, I took up pipe smoking and own several briar pipes of various makers. A month or so ago, I bought my first humi (50-75 count) and (after seasoning) tossed in a box of my new go-to cigar, of which I smoke 1-2 per week. These are the new RP Nording Torpedos and I must say that I've grown quite fond of them. Some other favorintes are Fuente's Hemmingways and the aforementioned Punch & Partagas.

My taste for cigars is refined enough to know the difference between natural and paper wrappers .. and between long and short fillers .. and doesn't go much further than that.

Hello and welcome! Sounds like you are off to a good start...meaning the humidor...since one of the side-effects of hanging around this place is getting several little packages in the mail from bombing S.O.B'S!!! hehehe...

head on over to the trade section and join in on one of the many NEWBIE trade threads...best way to meet new people and get an assortment of sticks to sample! Don't overlook the NEWBIE SAMPLER THREAD. That's how I started and I never looked back!
