My name is originally from a combination of my wifes and my name.
Renee+Phil= rephil
I changed it to "refill" because my wife told me I should never use any part of my real name on line. Not sure why but I generally do as I'm told

What is the story or explanation for everyones member name? I've seen pretty interesting ones and always wondered what is behind them. Some of them are pretty obvious like Seagarsmoker, but how about Glovepuppy?

Mine is pretty boring, although I've been using it for five years. It was my login name given to me the first day of college for the computer access. They just put the first six letters of you last name followed by your first and middle initial.
summerkc= Kevin C. Summers. I've used it ever since on everything on the internet so if you find something else around the internet with summerkc on it, you know it is me. I figure that if I use a differnt one I'll just forget it.

Everyone wake up now, the history lesson is over.
Mine is a nick name for, you got it, Rebecca!

Re: Whats the story behind everyones member name?

My name in this forum is my last name and my first initial. My name is Mohamed Cigarto. I was born in America. My grandfather came to America from Italy. The Cigarto family invented mozzarella cheese. My father, while in college, went on an archaeological expedition to Egypt, where he met my mother, the daughter of a camel breeder. Hence, the name, "Mohamed Cigarto" came to be.

Re: Whats the story behind everyones member name?

I started out as nmcintire, because that is the name I use for everything else online, and it is also part of my email address at work. As I read more and more posts, I remembered the first (and one of the only) times I saw - and smelled - my dad smoking a stogie, and it happened to be on a Saturday morning when I was a kid, watching cartoons ("The Smurfs"). Papa Smurf was the head dude, and thus, Papa Herf was born!

Re: Whats the story behind everyones member name?

Well...Most online places need 6 characters as a user name. And I never user my real name online, and my full name is only 6 characters I use my first name the #1 and my last initial twice. Hence Ron1YY

Re: Whats the story behind everyones member name?

This is the first screen name I ever chose. Many years ago I was sitting at my dad's computer and decided to create my own AOL sub-account. I was strapped for a screen name. Everything that came to mind was taken. So I pulled a Yojimbo. I was twiddling a pen between my fingers and listening to Rumble by Link Wray, and from then on I was known as RumblePen, and the internet would never be the same.
