About 5 years ago, I was involved in an on-line gaming clan for Medal of Honor & Call of Duty. Needed a tag for the clan, and this character from Usual Suspects seemed like a good choice (given that the fictional Keyser Soze was just a pseudonym for the badass Verbal Kint.) When I went to register my name at the league site, I found that someone from another team had already logged the proper spelling of the name, so I changed it around a bit. It's become my handle for just about every other board or on-line activity since. Tells you something about the limit of my creativity...

When my eldest son first started talking (he is 7 now) I used to call him Axe his name is Alex but he had trouble with the L for the longest time. When we was about 3 1/2 he looked up at my hair and said to me "Papa if I am Axe, then you are the SilverFox" since then it has been my moniker for all my online forums.

I've been on a pretty well known automotive forum for quite some time now.....one of the moderators on that forum kinda had a personal vendetta out for me. He even admitted it to me in writing via pm.

He would find the smallest discrepencies in my posts and use them as reasons to ban me. I kept my mouth shut but eventually reported him cuz it got a little ridiculous.....it was my 4thtry

and he's no longer a moderator.

Although, the thought to put them together came from a parishioner. We were at a church picnic, and I lit up my pipe. One of the parishioners had a pipe going and he pointed at me and told a buddy, "look at the Rev smoke." I just put it together.
