intro of sorts
Now Rann the Kite brings home the night
That Mang the Bat sets free-- The herds are shut in byre and hut For loosed till dawn are we. This is the hour of pride and power, Talon and tush and claw. Oh, hear the call!--Good hunting all That keep the Jungle Law! -- Night-Song in the Jungle I've read a lot of newbie intros, and most of them can be summarized just by saying "Hi, I'm here, welcome me," so I'd rather say a little more about myself. Thanks to this expensive hobby I've ended up with two desktop humidors, two tupperdors and a 48qt coolerdor. I'm not really sure why, but cigars keep coming in my mailbox and my debit card is starting to crack. I really like me some RP 1990 and 1992 robustos and El Rey del Mundo maduro robustos. On the cheaper side of things I enjoy the JR Alt Monte C and Famous Nic 3K. I'll post some humi pics eventually, but I've got a bunch of singles and five packs (strange how the more time you spend on cbid the more groups of five you have in your humi...odd...) I just finished reading Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe. I thought that was a really interesting book. I listen to tons of jazz - the best CD to put on while smoking a cigar is Pat Metheny's "The Way Up." It's a match made in heaven. Also interesting is that the CD is divided into 4 tracks - Intro, Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3. Also pairs well with a cigar. Cigar+jazz=beauty Ideal cigar smoking for me occurs when I'm outside on a perfect February Texas day (74 degrees), either listening to jazz and reading a book or talking about deep shit with some friends. I really hope I'm not committing cigar heresy by saying this, but some cigars really taste great with a Coke. At night I like cigars with a cup of Earl Grey or Apple Cinnamon tea, a good scotch, a cup of coffee or a good cappuccino. I get a lot of jokes because my name is Michael Jordan, so if y'all think you have an original joke or comment about it, trust me: you don't. Something actually original would be fun to hear though.
