Whats your "go to" stick?
I am sure this has been a topic before so since I am new I thought i would post it here. I am trying to find a good low $ (I wont say cheap) stoggie. I am hoping to find an every day smoke that wont break the bank.
I continue to search on my own (Buying samplers and singles) however I am sure this distinguished group has some insight and can not only help identify Diamonds in the ruff but also help point out a few DR's I could avoid. Thanks in advance (from me as well as Mrs DsrtDog since I have already dropped a couple of hundred since New Years when I began this journey). DsrtDog |

Padron 2000's. They are incredible smokes that wont break your bank. I dont know too many people who dislike them. When I want a very inexpensive smoke that is good, I go with my local shops house brand. They are amazing smokes. They are Nicaraguan cigars that are like 2.50 a pop.

I'll second the Padron's and will add the Joya de Nicaragua Antanos, both have tons of flavor and are easy on the budget.

Re: Whats your "go to" stick?
I take it you mean cheap everyday... gotta grab a smoke kind of sticks.
FDO's for under $ 1.5 Sherpas for about $ 2 Indian Tabac super fuerte belli maduro - $2-3 The problem is always escalation. You look at your options and at least for me I tend to grab better sticks than I should from the case. End up cyccling premium sticks to the top drawer more frequently than the everyday ones. Unless you are strong don't get a glass top humi. ![]() |

Good choices here. I'd add the Don Kiki Browns, they're a good bundle for the money. Trilogy series can often be found on cigarbid cheap and I like them. The Punch Rothschild is pretty good too and you can get 'em by the box for about $2 each.

Anything ERDM. I love their smokes. They seem to have consistent quality and aren't terribly expensive.

Re: Whats your "go to" stick?
I think all the cigars mentioned above are great. You can't go wrong picking any of those. I recently have been going to Onyx Mini Beli's. While they don't deserve the insanely high rating from a certain cigar magazine, I still think they are a good cigar that can be bought at a reasonable price.

Re: Whats your "go to" stick?
I always reach for a Piranha when I want a cigar I can rely on. I'm not a maduro fan, but there's something about a Piranha that I just love. A box plus extras should be arriving today....:-)

Re: Whats your "go to" stick?
Can't go wrong with La Vieja Habana by Drew Estate ($1.75 to $2.50) or the Cusano Cubans ($2.00-$3.00). They're solid smokes that, IMHO, are a damned good value
