Wink Minnesota Represent!!!!

Well I decided with all the minneeeesoootans stepping up and introducing themselves I decided it was time to join the fun. I just found clubstogie about a week ago and have been here every day since! You guys all seem like a great group and I can't wait to gain another money eating hobby while making new friends.

I'll tell you a little about myself. I just graduated from North Dakota State with a construction management degree and work as an engineer near St. Cloud. I'm originally from Blaine, MN. I got my first stogie back in high school and hated it of course. Looking back it was probably dirt cheap and completely dried out too. I picked up the hobby again in college the last couple of years. We had an awesome cigar lounge/bar with a walkin humidor in Fargo called JT Cigaros and I frequented that place at least once a week. I've tried R&P, Acids, Romeo y J, Onyx, Macanudo, Helix, and a few others. I regret not keeping better track of what I've tried and what I liked. I do know that the Helix's became one of my favorites. I always smoked the biggest cigars (thinking more bang for my buck) not even realizing that a Robusto of the same cigar could taste completely different from a Presidente.

Lately I've been smoking way too many cheap Garcia y Vegas while looking for a good cigar shop in the St. Cloud or Blaine area. I've been researching humidors, checking out cbid, and getting my credit cards ready.....oh nos......

I visited Robert's with my friend and his father when I was still in highschool. I remember going into the lounge (my friends dad knew the owner) and dreaming about going in there some day. It's so sad to hear about another great cigar lounge closing. What happened do you know?

Re: Minnesota Represent!!!!

welcome!!!
We gorillas in the metro area have been much maligned.

I imagine we could set up a herf or two in the next month or so.
