Perdomo Slow Aged 626 Review
If I've posted this in the wrong forum, I apologize in advance, but I was curious if anyone has had any experience with the Perdomo Slow Aged 826?
CI has them on sale in the following sizes, 5X52 Robusto, 6X52 Toro, and 7X52 Churchill in either Natural or Maduro for a buck twenty-five a stick and the price has me a little suspicious. I've just never seen a Perdomo selling for 1.25. Most of the reviews in the Cigar Data Base at Top25Cigar seem favorable, but was wondering if anyone had any recent first hand experience with these smokes? F. Prefect

Re: Perdomo Slow Aged 626
I had a couple. The first one I had was really good, so I got a 5pack from cbid and smoked one that was not very good. I think its a good smoke but needs a decent amount of age on it to be any good (at least needs to rest 3-4 months). Hope this helps. I know there are some people here that really dislike them all together and some that like them. I posted the deal you mentioned here and there is some discussion about the quality.

Thanks coryj, Surprise, surprise. Would you ever believe it, I found some very informative reviews right here in this forum. I swear I get more stupid with age. Most were recent enough to satisfy my curiosity and almost all of them, as you suggested, recommended some additional aging. For 29.95 for 24 Perdomo cigars, I suppose I couldn't get hurt to bad. I think I'll try 'em out even though a 7X52 Churchill is probably going to take half the day smoke.![]() F. Prefect

Re: Perdomo Slow Aged 626
I'm smoking one right now.
![]() A Glorioso (toro). Personally, I really like them. Haven't tried the maddies though. IMO they taste like a milder CAO Black. |

I'm in the some sort of like 'em corner. I think they are decent, and a deal for the money. Of course we've all had better, but they are the top 3 sticks under $2 that I've ever had. I thought that deal was a daily deal. Now that I see it's still going on, I am very tempted to pick up this deal. I may inclined to split a special if someone wants to go in on one with me... |

Re: Perdomo Slow Aged 626
Thanks for the help guys. I suppose I could make a little room in the humi for a few $1.25 Perdomos.
I was only a bit hesitant due to the price. As in TOO cheap. But at that price, it's gotta be worth a shot. Thanks again for the reviews.F. Prefect

Re: Perdomo Slow Aged 626
I like the 828 and agree that they get better with age. The are on my short buy more list. Even a month helps them a lot.

Re: Perdomo Slow Aged 626
not a bad smoke IIRC-not perdomo's best, but what do ya expect for $1.25?-they're as good or better as most $1.25 sticks-good construction at least

Re: Perdomo Slow Aged 626
For the price they are excellent and I like them better than many cigars that cost significantly more.

Re: Perdomo Slow Aged 626
I keep a 15-quart tupperdore filled with the Gloriosos & Robustos.
OK, the Churchills, too! They are my "go-to" smoke. I have at least 3-4 of these per week (out of the 15 or so I smoke). For the price, you can't beat them. I prefer the naturals, but the maduros have a place in my rotation, too. The naturals have a more complex flavor to me. Light leather, coffee & floral with some citrus in the background. Definitely better after 6-9 months of aging. New, they can be a bit bitter, as the citrus is forefront. The maduros lack the citrus, replaced by a more woody sweetness. Less dimension, but good nonetheless. If you like the other Perdomo lines (as I do), you'll like this cigar.

Re: Perdomo Slow Aged 626
Guys, thanks again for all the feedback. I was just a bit leary of a 7X52 Perdomo selling for a buck twenty-five.
.Can't wait to try 'em out, but from what I've read, most of you seem to think they may need a little more "slow aging", but I've seen enough of your replies that I'm confident they should be some good sticks, particularly at that price, even if they may require a bit more aging. ![]() thanks again, F. I doubt you will regret it. About 75% of the cigars I smoke are $3 and under and these easily made it into the rotation. In fact, I ordered a bundle before I even finished my 5 pack. ![]() |

Re: Perdomo Slow Aged 626
Have to check these out - for the price and the reviews they are getting they seem like a no brainer.
But how do you "slow age" something? Can they actually make time last longer?

Heh! I was just wondering the same thing. It's false advertising if you ask me. Those cigars are aged at exactly the same rate as everyone else's.
