CAO Italia Ciao/Padron 1964 Review

Well the love it or hate cigar, what can i say. I'm going to preface this by saying i liked it. it had a nice sweet earthy taste to it. as far as the wrapper it was great looking had a few veins. The prelight draw was hinted at the sweetness which is generally what i like. Other than that i can't remember anything else so if that tells you anything. i would give it a 7.5 out of 10.

Now i did smoke a Padron 1964 Imperial (Maduro), now y'all might flame me or what ever but i didn't care for it. It was just too complex for my palate. every time i was smoking it i kept trying to figure out what i was tasting. i can tell you at the end it had a black licorice taste to it. like i said i'm not knocking it, i just don't believe my palate was defined or however you want to word it to enjoy this smoke.

I think i writing this cause one its an excuse to smoke, and two it helps me remember what i like and don't like.

It is far and few between that you read a less than positive review on any of the Padron Anni cigars. I personally think that both the '64 and '26 are excellent, but that the '64 is more bang for the buck.

As far as licorice is concerned, I got dogged pretty hard when I posted that I tasted banana in the '64.

Thumbs up Re: CAO Italia Ciao/Padron 1964

Thanks for the review. I'd like to try both, but when I purchase a Padron, it'll mostly be for a special ocassion and will let it set in my humidor for at least a month before trial.

Thought it can be challenging, I'm learning not to generate expectations based on opinions of others. Not that I don't appreciate their input, only that my opinion may vary. As with so many things, I think there is no right nor wrong when it comes to reviews. What's right is what's right for us as individuals.

That's my .
