Consuegra Maduro Rothschild Review
I believe these are the "Rothschild #9" on the JR site. Purchased these about a year ago, and they have been in my Humi ever since. I am laboring on Labor Day, so I decided to give myself a little treat before work.
Length - 4.5 Ring - 50 Wrapper - Honduras Binder - Honduras Filler - Honduras, Nicaragua, Dominican Construction - Very Good. Surprising for such a cheap handmade cigar. Somewhat veiny/oily wrapper. Pre Light - Grassy Flavor 1st Third - Woody, Very Mild. Excellent Burn. No Issues at all. 2nd Third - Woody. Slight Cream and Pepper. Medium Strength. Excellent Burn. Final Third - Wood, Pepper and Cream. Started to get Bitter and Metalic with about 1.5 Inches left. That's when I shut it down. Medium to Full Bodied. Ash - Flakey Gray ash. Holds Pretty Good. Got a good 2 Inches out of it. Fell off mid Cigar. Overall - Great Cigar. Espescially considering the price. At about a Dollar each, you can't get much better. Fairly one dimensional performance, but good flavors and nice construction. ![]() |
