Reviews brought to you by Leo and Blake CAO Mx2
So my friend Leo (elisha) and I believe a cigar for the most part should be enjoyed with company. Leo and I often share a cigar, and each discuss what we think about it. This will be a cigar diary of sorts for both of us and the cigars we share. Check back here and there for new reviews.
Last night we both enjoyed a CAO MX2 robusto. Pre draw- Nothing too out of the ordinary. I figured it would be a good cigar, that's all really. Of course the way this stick looked on the other hand made me believe very differently as it was one of the darkest/oilest sticks i've had. Light up- The very first draw was fantastic. I could taste the full spectrum of flavors that the cigar had to offer from the begining. A rich full bodied smoke with hints of chocolate and pepper. After the first draw though i got very concerned as the cigar went Harsh in no time. The aroma was not pleasant, and the smoke was very bitter, the draw was a little tight too. Leo and I both got a little worried and decided it would most likely only last a while (and luckily it did). The strange harshness only lasted 2 minutes or so and the stick immediately went to a medium bodied stick, with lots of smooth cool smoke and hints of chocolate. This lasted about half way down and was very enjoyable. At the half way mark the cigar took it's full bodied turn and a rich dark coffee flavor, with hints of chocolate and pepper was presented. This lasted all the way till we decided to put it out, but it did have on occasional break with the more mild smooth flavors presented. For the most part the aroma of the cigar was average at best i thought. The cigar still smelt a little harsh. The draw was a little tight for the cigars whole life but wasn't terrible. The ash was a wonder to look at, as it was some of the whitest i've seen. If i had a humi i'd definately buy a few of these and see how they smoked after a couple months of aging. A nice cigar I thought.

Re: Reviews brought to you by Leo and Blake
Sometimes we both buy the same stick and sometimes we'll both share one.
We don't really mind though.

Re: Reviews brought to you by Leo and Blake
youll have to understand that im poor as hell going to college and all so sometimes we end up sharing. but i like to avoid that as often as possible. anyway.
i mostly agree with what blake said, but i think the beginning was way too harsh for my taste. i was a bit worried. felt like i was kicked in the back of the throat. haha. but it did mellow out and it was very pleasant. i think it needed a bit of aging (thats why im trying to get myslef a humidor) so ill definetly have another go at one. it did start to fall appart slightly at the end but that may have been because it was slighlty dried out. a decent 45 minute smoke.

Whenever we have a party at our house people always ask for puffs of my cigar. I hate that, I couldn't imagine sharing one haha.

This is true. Because we are both students, well our cash flow isn't as large as we'd like it be.

Re: Reviews brought to you by Leo and Blake CAO Mx2
Whenever me and the Grape Ape herf, we often pass our stogies to each other to taste. (Neither of us tend to "wet up" the end......I'd have to say that we'r every "neat" smokers!
) Anyhow, doing this several times as we enjoy a smoke gives us a very good way of comparing "A" to "B". It tens to make the difficult task of discerning what we're tasting a bit easier....at least comparatively speaking.
