Graycliff Original release 1997 review...

In all my years of smoking I've never actually reviewed a thing.
Since I promised when I posted the offer for these cigars on the retailer forum that I would, I'll try....please be gentle...

Cigar: Graycliff Original Release 1997
Size: 6x38 Coronas Especialas
Location: Suburbs of Houston-Kingwood TX outside on my balcony
Temp: Hot and humid 85+ (its Houston in Sept)
Drink: The Dalmore Cigar malt

Received these smokes from Cigar.com today. Usually I would let them chill out in the humidor for a week or two, but I couldn't wait. Graycliffs as a whole have always been one of my favorite smokes.
6x38 corona...wow, quite a bit smaller guage than my normal smoke, but sometimes I need a quicker smoke such as the shorty story.
The cigar was tightly packed (if thats proper to say), I clipped it with my cheap $2 clipper, and lit it with my cheap $6 lighter.
It lit perfectly, and my first puff began my near perfect experience with this cigar.
The entire cigar burned perfect, with plenty of smoke with each draw, more than expected for this 6x38.
The first inch was very similar to most Graycliffs I've had. Upon smoking the remainder of the cigar, it was a medium bodied and tasted of a slight sweetness, to cocoa.
Its quite difficult for me to put tastes and smells into words, so I can merely say that if you like Graycliff cigars and Cigars.com puts these on special again:
Thanks Jeff for your assistance with my order !
Sampler Includes 20 Original Release Graycliff Cigars From 1997
10 x Graycliff Original Coronas Especiales (6 x 3
10 x Graycliff Original Gran Dame (5 x 35)
Regular Price: $210.00
One Day Price $84.95!
Grab at the offer. It was the first time I've tried The Dalmore Cigar Malt and it was perfect for this and I'm sure many other fine cigars.
The cigar lasted about 40 minutes while I got to ponder important questions in my life right now....
How am I going to lose the 20lbs I put on after my knee surgery?
How long is it going to take my dog to throw up after "licking up" the ashes that fell onto the balcony floor from my Graycliff?
How can I better help my daughter learn how to read?
How am I going to clean up that mess on the carpet?
etc....
Anyway, I don'y take my cigar smoking very seriously, I take care of my cigars and enjoy smoking them daily. It was nice to share with ya all
I did try a Pepin Garcia-Sancti Spiritus the other night which I did not enjoy.

Re: Graycliff Original release 1997 review...

I've picked up a couple dozen of these off C-bid over the last 3-4 months, and find them very much to my liking, especially in the price range of the special you jumped on. Since I already had plenty, i passed on the special, even knowing it was one heck of a deal!

Good review for your "first".
