Padron 2000 review Review

Had this tonight that came from the mystery bomb. I'm pretty sure it was a 2000 but can say for sure. If it wasnt it was definately a 3000. Either way...

Anyhow, For the first inch of this cigar it was full bodied, and full of flavor, almost a little harsh for my liking and the draw was a tad tight.

After the first inch though it developed into a full flavored, medium bodied smoke. The most dominent flavor i could pull out was leather. Lots of smoke and sort of creamy as well, it was almost as if i could take a bite out of the smoke and chew it. Had burn problems at the end that could've been fixed with a torch, but it was too windy to fix it with my lighter.

Really tasty, and probably one of my favorite Domestic cigars. It's too bad my local store carries none of these. I really enjoyed the one i had tonight.

thanks again to whoever sent me this.

Did you punch or cut the cigar? I've never had a harsh Padronie. Also the drag on every Padron I've had has been excellent. Burn problems on a Padron are also rare, but you said it was windy so that could explain it. I can totally relate to the chewy smoke, I love it! but I do find that anything in the Padron line that isn't anniversary edition needs time to mature. Good review.

Good review. Usually the Padron Line is very very consistent and it is a very good smoke as well.

Re: Padron 2000 review

I recently had one of these. I think it was a 2000, but I'm not 100% sure. It was a fantastic smoke and definitely up there in my top 5. It's a shame that the prices on these were raised before I could get a box.

Re: Padron 2000 review

Good review, from another Padron ho.

Prices going up, heck...I just ordered a couple boxes of Fumas just because I couldn't find any 2000 (M) anywhere. Figured I'd use those as a go-to until I found some 2K's.

I actually REALLY like the Padron Londres in Maduro. One of the cheapest in the regular padron line and one of the best.

Padron totally rocks!

For those of you that are big enough Padron Hos to buy 'em by the box, give Phil @ eSmokestack.com a call. He can't advertise his prices on his web site any more... nudge nudge wink wink

Re: Padron 2000 review

I think maybe it was dry.
my cigar shop here has been having humidifier issues and cigars that aren't in cello in their humi are cracking. (i had store credit and had to buy something)
It was just rolled really loose i think and that and it being dry made from huge plumes of dry harsh smoke.
I hope the other one does better.
I may fire up one of my AF anejo's to get this disaster off of my mind

Re: Padron 2000 review

if it was squishy those smokes are overhumidified. 2000 is a great smoke.

Re: Padron 2000 review

hm that's odd.
it burned pretty fast for a wet stogie.
it went up like a bundle of dry leaves
lol
it burned up real fast.
a couple weeks at 65% should straighten her out
I was hoping i'd like it. the price is right up my alley
