Re: Edge by Rocky Patel

Thanks to all the oily pics people have been posting I finally picked up one yesterday along with HdM dark Sumatra and thought I'd wait for the weekend to try them out, yeah, that lasted long.

I lightup the edge for a smoke that seemed to have lasted forever. I did like it and I'll need to have another to get my full thoughts on it.

I believe I liked the Sun Grown more, but since I have only smoked one of each I'll just have to get a couple of them and do a taste test. Terrible job, but somebody's got to do it.

Re: Edge by Rocky Patel

I Love the maduro ones that I have. I bought two boxes of ten a while ago. They were in a rustic looking box and the cigars had no bands on them. I believe they were the X-outs. I think they are fantastic but haven't had the real banded ones yet so I cannot compare.

Re: Edge by Rocky Patel

Not to dig up an old topic, but I'm about 1/4 into a RP "The Edge" right now and think it's a pretty decent smoke for the money.

A little light on the draw, but I may have clipped too much off the tip of the torpedo. (only about 1/2"...is that too much?)

Definately not the mildest smoke out there, but I won't make this my last one...that's for sure.

Re: Edge by Rocky Patel

Good review. I experienced the same tasting notes of expresso and bitter chocolate. It's quite full in taste and if you like that taste profile then you might like the Edge.
