Rare AVO 22 Review (from AVO 80th Humidor)
I had the pleasure of sampling a very special and rare cigar this evening (gifted by an extremely generous CS member who shall remain anonymous). I was gifted an AVO 22 cigar from the very limited AVO 80th humidor collection that was released last year. This special humidor had a production of only 80 in the world which included 4 sets of 20 rare and out of production cigars.
I was not fortunate enough to purchase the AVO 22 upon its initial release 5+ years ago. I've only ever had 1 AVO 22 which was gifted by khubli and was an European version (smaller ring gauge - fantastic cigar). I've also sampled the Boris 11 cigar which was a 'personal stash' version of the AVO 22 but was no where near the same as the original blend. This AVO 22 from the 80th humidor was close if not the same as the original release cigar. The Boris 11 cigars are a bit longer than the original release AVO 22s and although it had the resemblance of the OR 22's flavor it was no where near the same in complexity. The Boris 11 also had a sharper point at the head. But the cigar from the 80th humidor is the exact same length and size as the OR AVO 22. It even has the same wrapper and color. This was a spectacular cigar. From beginning to end it was absolute bliss! Never have I experienced such a complex and enjoyable cigar. It even tops the best CCs I've sampled (hopefully the PL Magnifico will have something to say about this LOL). The burn was even all the way without any need of a touch up. Copious amounts of smoke filled the air on my back patio. Even the neighbors whom were walking their dogs asked what I was smoking. This was pure heaven! Trust me ladies and gentlemen, if you can afford and find an AVO 80th Humidor collection its worth every penny (that's if you don't already have a nice stash of OR AVO 22s in your humidor)! ![]() Years Aged: NA - who knows if this is the OR or a reblending by Kelner Overall Rating: 5 Elegance: 4.5 Balance: 5 Strength: 4.5 Complexity: 5 Aftertaste: 5 One final note...if this was a reblending then why couldn't Hendrik Kelner make the Boris 11 cigars taste the same???

Another awesome review! Hopefully I will be purchasing some of these amazing cigars from a BOTL (wink, wink) once I get paid shortly if the offer still stands
