Cienfuegos Aged Piramides Review

It only took one for me to become hooked.

Recently, SmokeyJoe bombed me with some cigars I have never smoked before. Among them was a Cienfuegos Aged Piramides.

This is a cigar after my own heart.

Blended by Rolando Reyes Sr., this vitola measures 6.75" X 64.

The wrapper is an Eucadorian-grown Habana leaf, cultivated in 1999. I believe that means that it was harvested in 2000.

That's just the hype from the cigar catalogues.

This is a seriously HONEST cigar. It's not 'pretentious' in any way. It is a FULL-BODIED stick, with huge clouds of creamy smoke.

None of those overblown attributes here. This is a cigar. A cigar made from quality tobacco and rolled by craftsman. The ash and burn were perfect. The flavor was.... tobacco and a hint of coffee and leather.

I found myself ordering a box of 12 from CI before I finished the gift stick.

Thank you Joe for turning me on to this wonderful stogie.

Re: Cienfuegos Aged Piramides

Robert, thanks for reminding me, I have had 12 of these sitting at the bottom of the cooler since April. Here are the photos I took when they arrived. I hoep you don't mind me illustrating your great passionate review.

Now I have to go dig to the bottom of the cooler.

PS They came in a bundle so that box is not it's original home.

Nice review. I have had a few of these and they are my favorite of the Rolando line.

Re: Cienfuegos Aged Piramides

Well, I just got a box of the Engine No.5 off Cbid for $40. It is a robusto size cigar. I hope it's as good as the pyramids. But for $2 a smoke I guess I can't complain.

Re: Cienfuegos Aged Piramides

Bringing up an old thread. I lit up this stick expecting to put it out about 1/2 way through, because its a puros indios product, and generally, I don't get along well with PI stuff... I am pleasantly surprised by how good this stick is. I am smoking the Engine #5 as well.. Might have to get me some after the credit card cools off from my Nub buying spree
