Light of Ybor Review
I was down in Ybor City today and was browsing around and found a very unique smoke - The Light of Ybor. It was presented in tissue paper with the band on the outside of that. I slowly took the paper off, revealing one of the best constructed cigars I have ever seen in my life! Totally smooth wrapper with no defects whatsoever. I cut it with my double blade, and fired it up.
Immediately I tasted a nice warm classic tobacco flavor. It didn't smack me in the face like some other cigars do, but the flavors slowly unfolded. By the 1/4 mark, this cigar was already getting to be one of my favorites. BTW I was eating a Mojo Pork sandwich and drinking an unsweetened iced tea, which complimented the cigar surprisingly well. The flavor never became overpowering and was pretty consistent the whole way through, though it picked up an oh so slight spiciness towards the end. It burned slowly with little to no problems. The cigar put out a LOT of smoke and had a very generous draw. I smoked it all the way down and by that time I had a nice little buzz. A pleasant aftertaste lingered for about 15 minutes. I HIGHLY recommend this cigar to anyone visiting or living in Tampa. At a little over $6 a pop, I think the cigar is pretty fairly priced. After all, it's moved in to my top ten list!  |
