I don't know what it is about Pepin cigars and me but I seem far too often to have a hard time keeping them lit. This Tatuaje was no exception... had to relight it three or four times. Storage RH was 65 and it was dry boxed for 30 hours prior to being smoked. Other than the burn issue I found it to be a good but not great smoke. Full bodied, even burn, lots of smoke and a flavor typical of good, strong Nicaraguan tobacco.

It had a nicotine kick and was a little too much cigar for me as I prefer medium or medium to full bodied smokes with a smoother flavor profile. This one had only been resting a month or so and I would like to revisit it after a couple of years to see if it mellows a bit.

Overall I like the Pepin Padilla Lanceros better (Miami 8&11, 1932 and 194 but this one might be just the ticket for those of you who like them strong.
