El Primer Mundo Rosado Oscuro Perfecto Review

El Primer Mundo Rosado Oscuro Perfecto

Size: 6 x 54 Perfecto
Body: Medium
Beverage: Scotch (Balvenie 12yr.)
Price: $7

I picked up this stick at an event a couple of weekends ago and decided to give it a try and a review. The rep sold me on trying it so I bought one and let it sit about 2 weeks then burned it. The company is small and based out of Atlanta but is made by Nestor Plasencia in Nicaragua. Here's a link to the website even though the Rosado Oscuro is not listed.

Apperance: Good looking cigar with a slightly veiny deep brown wrapper. A perfecto that is closed at both ends.

Pre-light: Not knowing how to light it I nipped it slightly at both ends (later found out I should have just cut the cap). The draw was firm but not too firm and it had a hint of spice.

1st Third: Spice and pepper mostly with a woody and slightly dry finish. Burn was slightly uneven but noting to fret over.

Middle Third: Pepper subsided and as I got to the middle a very creamy almost butterscotch taste took over, it was delicious. Burn was still a little off but the ash was so tight it still had not fallen (see pic).

Last Third: Ash was still hanging on until the last inch. The nice cream was joined again by some pepper and was extremely pleasant. I smoked it almost to the nub but as it got small again it got a tad bit hot.

Overall: A well constructed, slightly complex smoke that delivered good amount of smoke and some great tastes.

I will defiantly buy one of these again.

Re: El Primer Mundo Rosado Oscuro Perfecto

Nice review! These are a great addition to thier, little known, line up. I still like the criollo maduro a little better but the rosado is very tasty!
