Perdomo Reserve La Tradicion Cabinet Review

Another thanks to franksmith for a great smoke.

Talk about a deception! This stick had the most unusual design of any I have thus far smoked. I would have to call this a taper design, with the ash end maybe 46 RG, but the draw end maybe only 30 RG. The ash end was also box pressed for about the first 1 1/2 inches, and was twist finished into a small nipple. The whole smoke wasn't over 4 inches long.

I had 45 minutes, maybe an hour to kill, thought this would be a good time to try out a new smoke that was on the smaller (quicker) smoking size. WRONG!

Was a somewhat hard draw, but was consistently even in flow. Started with a good pre-smoke flavor. Light up easily, excellent first light aroma. I knew in the first 10 minutes that I was in trouble. 10 minutes gone, hardly any of the stogie missing. I was impressed that there was always a nice smoke curl rising from the cigar. Burned even the whole way down. Good semi-sweet, nutty flavor for the first half (kinda like a good pecan). Second half still had sweet overtones, but definitely peppery.

This 4 inch cigar turned into a good 1 1/2 hour smoke, never once did I think about cutting it short! Good solid 4 or better in my rating. On the strenght of this one and the perdomo yesterday is sufficient to make me place a bid on CigBid for a 5 pack!

Well according to CSI these are such a super premium and valued smoke that you can find a killer just from the ash as they are so rare. How can they be bad if CSI said so.

Thanks for the nice review, have not pulled the trigger on one of these yet. Might have to in the near future.

Either missed that episode, or was not smoking cigars yet, and did not notice. CSI does seem to come up with some amazing conclusions from such small amounts of evidence!! Have to keep reminding my wife and daughter that it is a TV SHOW!!! Guess they could now tie me to the crime, since I have posted public info linking me to that cigar!!

See ya'll when I get outta the slammer!

Also with the CSI episode there was a contest run by perdomo to win free cigars if you watched that episode. You had to name the manufacturer (you didn't know it was perdomo running the contest).

But the Perdomo Reserves are one of my favorite smokes I believe. I like them alot.
