Robert Burns Panetela de Luxe 1954 Review

This was a gift from Mr. Hollywood. I'm smoking it now and it's pretty damn good. I'm sure Dave will post a better review once he sees this; but I've got a few good pictures to contribute....

Thanks again, Dave!

what's amazing is just how perfectly preserved this thing is. also amazing is how much strength is preserved. it's as if I got it in the store last month -- but it's perfectly balanced and smooth.

Superb smoke you have there, brother! Glad you got all you could out of it, too!

I've had a few of these now; and have been very impressed with the flavor depth and profile strength that these have retained. I found a lot of cream and hints of fruitiness throughout, but in varying intensities. I could also feel the pepper notes in the nasal exhale with increasing frequency in the final third. The strength is not overpowering nor is it one dimensional.

This particular cigar was from a Plaid Christmas dress box of 25. I've also had one from a sealed 5er and also from a sealed 50cab plastic humidor. All of these are slightly different in the same way that many CCs present themselves in different ways when from a Cab or DB. The humi smokes are just beyond sensational.

You look like you are going to rob my house. Not that there's anything there you would want . Nice review on a cool smoke.
