Re: Review: Padron 1964 Anniversary Series Exclusivo Natural

Can any FOG here tell me between the Maduro and the Natural of the 64's, which one is better ? I know that every one has a different taste, flavor, strength preference and it may be a half and half consensus here. So if I was to go out and get a 5 packs of the PAM 64's Exclusivo, what would it be, Maduro or Natural ?

Thanks.

Go broke and get one of each. That way you get to decide. There are times when a maduro is what I really want and sometimes a natural. I just passed up buying a bunch of 64 naturals, which I really like, to grab some 3000 maduros, which sounded tastier at the time.

But if I were forced, I'd go for the maduro just because they are harder to find (for me) and I am a sucker for a well-aged maduro.

I prefer the Maduros over the naturals, the naturals to me feel like they are missing something

I agree, there is just something special about those in a maduro.

Re: Review: Padron 1964 Anniversary Series Exclusivo Natural

I can't speak from experience on the natural, but I had a maduro tonight thanks to a purchase I made from Netminder. I'd have to say that I experienced flavors never before attained from a cigar. It went superb with my coffee. Nutty and creamy is what I experienced from this young untrained pallete.

I've got to try a 64 one of these days. Every time I see them at the B&M I just get overwhelmed with decisions and walk away!! haha.

I had one in Maduro tonight. It was excellent all the way through, bit of a tight draw on the one I had, but it was excellent still.

I found one in my humidor last week. Have no idea where it came from or who gave it to me. Looking forward to trying it.

Re: Review: Padron 1964 Anniversary Series Exclusivo Natural

Maduro vs. Natural

The constant ponderings when attacking the Padron Anni series. I have to say that honestly, I prefer the Naturals. There's more subtlety to the flavor but I find them to be a slightly more satisfying smoke. You'll find a bit more earth and grassiness in the Natural with a touch of spice and only a hair of sweetness, whereas the Maduro will make you crave chocolate at some level... But to each his own! I'm notorious for enjoying a cigar that makes me sit back and think deep thoughts.

PS Post 400...booyah.
