That's high praise. I think I'll have to pick some up now. Thanks.

I once thought the same of the CAO Criollo. There were nuances that reminded me of a Monte, but it's been a long time since I've smoked another Criollo (at least a year). Makes me wonder.

Wow... my recent 68' was poorly constructed, and the flavor was nothing special. If that's what a Cuban is like I'm glad I haven't bought any yet.

No way. Have had many Pepin Blacks and they are generally disappointing. Dry finish and not much of a taste. I"ve tried aging them and still no luck. Pepin Black for me is at best 7-8/10.

That's better than many Cubans.

How long did you age them? Aren't these fairly new (i.e. on the market less than 5 or so years)?

Re: A NC that tastes like a CC.....it's happened!

Damn Doc, I didn't need to hear that. The first couple I tried didn't really impress me and I started gifting them out like crazy, including I think the one you smoked. Now, I only have like 1 or 2 left, maybe the extra rest time has helped them. Eithjer way I'm glad you like it, they are a helluva lot cheaper than the Miami (which I could take or leave) and 1932's (which are incredible).

Have you had a 5 vegas Miami petite corona? They are ver nice, I like.

Around 6 months and still no great flavors unfortunately for me. More of a musty smoke.

Yeah, ask floydpink.

I was mainly saying I've had many CC's that wouldn't rate a 7 or 8/10.
