Tinderbox La Reserva #3 maduro Review
I haven't done a review in a while so here is today's.
This morning I smoked a Tinderbox La Reserva #3 maduro (6.25 x 43). It is a great size. It seemed lighter than expected. Prelite draw seemed a little loose. Initial smell did not have any strong smell to the smoke. I lite it up while walking the dog. The draw was as expected slightly loose. Not a whole lot of smoke but not lacking. It seemed a little "airy." It did not have any strong flavor to it. Every once in while it had a hint of stale smoke flavor. In the middle there was a darker taste and almost sweet but not quite there. There was no bitter or unpleasant flavor except for the occasional slight stale flavor. A mild smoke. The burn was excellent. Overall, there was nothing about the cigar that was in itself bad. On the other hand, there was nothing that made the cigar really good (except the burn). Strength was lacking and flavor was flat. I wish that the smoke just had much more of the basic characteristics of the smoke... nothing bad, just lacking. Hope this helps. I've seen reviews that liked the cigar more so this is JMHO. |
