CI Legends Black Label Review

So here's the description of it on CI:

Within a toothy Nicaraguan leaf, lies a fine blend of Corojo, Cubano Piloto and Nicaraguan tobaccos that has been aging since 2001. Experience an eventful bouquet of flavors with this mild to medium-bodied beauty. A subtle peppery note mingles with an amaretto-like sweetness, complemented by an enjoyable, woodsy aroma and spicy aftertaste that lingers just long enough to satisfy til the next puff. Smooth from start to finish and pushing out plumes of thick, white smoke, Legends by La Aurora is a treat for the senses.

This burned pretty evenly even with all the wind. Looked pretty nice too. The draw was a little tight but not too tight so as to cause my forehead to cave in.

I pretty much agree with the description. I did note a slight herbal flavor. It was pretty good until about halfway down. Started to pick up an... well I would call it "ass" flavor. Not exactly enjoyable. I think after some age these umm... not ideal flavors would go away or develop into something more of a nuttiness. Perhaps I'll pick up a box to age.

The White Labels have been the best for me so far. Kinda Pepin like, much better then the Yellow label.

If that's the stick I sent you, it was pretty much fresh off the truck from CI. I suspect that it was quite wet. I bought a bundle along with the R4s but I actually do have a box set back too. I still haven't smoked one

Aha! Yeah I probably should have let it rest some but it looked so pretty.

I had a Black Label about a month ago. I thought it was quite enjoyable all the way down to the nub. Maybe there are some consistency issues??
