Thumbs up Rocky Patel Edge Toro Maduro Review

Any body checked out these puppies at their local shop?? They are definitly worth a shot. I pick up a natural and a maduro a couple of weeks ago, and had the maduro today. These cigars are said to be slowly aged for five years, and at 6.00 bucks a pop i grapped a few.

Pre lite, the cigar is impressive, even coming with out a label. This stick got off to a slow start. I found that the draw was alittle tighter than i prefer. The first third of the cigar reminded me of the flavor of a C.A.O Italia, which IMO is not a bad thing. As the cigar progressed, i found it had a nice spice that seemed like a mix between an Ashton VSG and an Opus X. All in all i was able to nub this baby. I found that it especially complimented the Alaskan King crabs legs, and the NY strip steak i had 15 or so minutes before. Look for this at your local shop, they are hard to miss being that they come in crates of 200.

Re: Rocky Patel Edge Toro Maduro

The Edge is an interesting cigar. I've had some that have been heavenly, and others that weren't so great.

The good ones that I have had have been a very consistent cigar. The flavor is rich and spicy and lasts throughout the smoke. The construction is generally good, although I think that they get a little rushed sometimes and there are some pretty doggone big soft spots in them.

The bad ones, to me, have smelled like dirty feet, and the aroma lasted throughout the smoke. They reminded me of old Mexican cigars that I have just never liked, ever.

Thank you for the review.
