Litto Gomez Small Batch #2! Picture included Review

A B+M about 30 minutes away got these in recently and I happened to stop by a couple of weeks ago while my wife was shopping.

I love the small batch #1, and was really looking forward to this cigar.

Here is a pic of the two side by side so you can see the size difference.

Small Batch #2 by itself.

This cigar's aesthics are top notch. One of the best looking cigars I've seen. Pre light draw was a bit on the loose side, but not bad. Lit easily after toasting the foot and I was off.

The initial taste was good, but unimpressive. Strong tobacco flavors with some noticable spice. To be honest, it tastes a little young. I know it's aged tobacco, but I'm sure they weren't rolled all that long ago, and to me it shows. The amount of smoke out of this was average during the first half.

As the cigar progressed, the burn was almost perfect. The amount of smoke increased and the flavor definitely got a bit better, although tobacco and spice were still the predominant flavors, it didn't taste as young if that makes any sense. The draw was also a bit tighter, but still a tad on the loose side for my tastes.

The cigar never needed a touch up, and the ash held well, but I was reading while smoking, so I didn't try for a long ash contest. The first ash happened at two inches though. I did purge towards the end, but I usually do that on most cigars.

Overall it was a pretty good cigar. I don't think at the present time it's worth $16 plus tax, but I could see this turning into a great cigar after some time has past. Edit... forgot to add that the nic kick from this was pretty good. Best to have this one on a full stomach. I like to live dangerously and had this around dinner time, a good 5 hours after lunch, and all I had with me was water...

Draw 6/10
Burn 8/10
Appearance 10/10
Construction 9/10
Taste 7.5/10
Overall 8/10

This would have been a picture review, but my camera battery died and it was a struggle to get the two pics I did.

I loved the Small Batch 1, but they were just to freakin big for me, glad they made these a little smaller, thanks for the review. Can't wait to try one.

Thanks for the review on a cigar that had piqued my curiosity! I still have a handful of SB#1 I bought a year ago that I have not smoked yet. I'll have to light one up soon.

The SB#2 you have looks like it's got a very toothy wrapper. I like how the SB#1 looks darker and oily in spots!

Thanks for posting your review!

I've been enjoying LG's American, but I'll go ahead now and try the SB2. Cool!

Ji, you probably won't like the SB-1's so just send them over to Mississippi and I'll dispose of them for you . Seriously, stop waiting and spark em up, I had one of each yesterday watching the game, good stuff.
