Playboy by Don Diego – Lonsdale (Repost)

This is a rather well made lonsdale cigar, measuring in at 6.5 X 42. These are made in the Dominican Republic by Don Diego and bear the Playboy logo with Hugh Hefner’s signature. These cigars use filler and binder from the Dominican Republic surrounded by a Connecticut wrapper. This makes for a rather mild smoke.

In spite of rather good construction and burn, these cigars are not a bargain, even at $3.60 a stick. Like the girls you see in the magazine, they are good lookers, and even good performers, but rather dull and one-dimensional. Don’t look for anything deep or profound here. Buying these is like buying hand made Dutch Masters in a cedar chest. These might be a good “step up” cigar from machine mades, but they just don’t cut it after a weekend of smoking fuller bodied cigars.
