WOW!!!!, smoked my first DCM tonight and all I can say is wow. Fish, good review and spot on.......There's only a handful of NC's that I really like and for me I would put these right up there with DPG Blacks, Don Carlos, and Tatuaje VI angeles....

I HAVE to get some more if these. Incredible burn and taste throughout

Fuente blend, supposedly like the Opus X, I find them very tasty, more readily available and a tad cheaper. Box is pretty cool too.

Re: Diamond Crown Maximus Robusto

The certificate that comes with the box says they are a Fuente, Oliva, Newman blend. I guess with that combo you have to expect something very nice.

Thanks George, I suspect that I may be looking at one of those certificates myself in the very near future

Nice review Scott.
I don't know the details in how the DCM are tied to the A. Fuente family, but I would rather have a DCM over any of the A. Fuente labeled cigars that I have tried.
I have been disappointed in a lot of the "premium" cigars that I have tried, but the Diamond Crown Maximus did not disappoint. A great smoke that I hope to find a good deal on someday.

Keep your eye on Cbid, thats how I scored them for about $50 below any other price I could find.

I have heard bad things about Cbid.
Not Cbid itself but the way it can ruin a guys collection of $100.00 bills..

18 months on CS and still not a Cbid user..Is that good or bad..??

You have clearly spent less than me on cigars that you don't neccessarily need then. But one of those purchases I didn't neccessarily need was the DCM #5, so I guess it is a double-edged sword.

EXACTLY the way I feel. IMO DCM is the best thing they make. When you get past the 'mystique' of their rarer stuff, for taste, these and Hemmie Maduros are the only amazing smokes in their stable (again, IMO).

Re: Diamond Crown Maximus Robusto

Had my first one of these in over a year last night. It was probably 1.5 years old or so and I had "dry" boxed it for the past week in my travel humidor (just didn't add humidification to the travel humi).

Burn and draw were near perfect, I'd say a 9.5/10. No complaints what-so-ever about the cigar at all.

This was a very strong showing for the DCM.
