5 Vegas Classic (Newbie Cigar of the Month winner Blues Tiger)

This is my first review for the month of February of the cigars I received from my sponsor MarkinCA. Also, this is my first review ever so be gentle!

5 Vegas Classic:

The first cigar I tried from the sampler was the 5 Vegas Classic. I had read good things about them on this forum so I was eager to see for myself. Normally, I don't particularly enjoy natural wrapper cigars but I have only had a few to compare it too.

First Impressions: Nice tan wrapper with a few small veins present, not distracting however. The cigar was firm yet springy when pressed, looks to be fairly solid construction. I noticed an almost sweet aroma on the cigar from head to foot.
Pre-lit Draw: Draw is nice with a mild sweetness and a hint of some spice and nuts.
First 3rd: Foot toasted easily. Lots of smoke, more than I expected! My palate is still being refined, but I noticed what I describe as a woody taste. Burn is nice and smooth and the ash is a bit flakey but holding firm.
Second 3rd: More woody taste but mild. Also just the slightest bit of spice and nuts..just right! Medium body with almost no aftertaste or noticable finish. Ash flaked off at about 2in.
Final 3rd: Still taste wood and very mild spice. Starting to get a little harsh the closer we get to the nub. I should mention that the band slid off the head easliy during the second third.
I didn't finish the final third. The cigar just got too hot and harsh.

Overall, I give this cigar a 3 out of 5. I really prefer Maduro cigars, but this is one of the better Naturals that I have had so far. Just a good, mild, smooth smoke for most of the cigar. I will def. try these again and they will probably be a good afternoon smoke for me in the future.

That's all for now. I'll my other review for the month soon!

Thank you for the review. I have not had one of those yet. I have been wondering if they were worth it. I love the 5Vegas Alphas. I will have to try this as well.
