Taboo Special Forces Boot Camp 6x60 Maduro Review

For another SF Boot Camp review, see Mike's here:

Construction: Great Maduro wrapper with plenty of veins. No soft or hard spots.

Pre-Light/Post Cut:
I tasted a little cocoa and some leather.

During the smoke, I was forced to touch up three times, but it wasn't a big correction. The smoke was thick and draw wasn't easy but not hard either. Nice and even. The first 1/3rd of the cigar was mostly leather tasting. I was picking up what I thought to be a rum flavor towards the end of the first 1/3.

2/3rd of the cigar was by far my favorite. The leather had smoothed out as well as the rum. I was getting bits of cocoa and nuts and a hint of spice every once in a while

Last third of the cigar was my least favorite. I don't know if it was just me or if it started tasting a lot stronger than I prefer. There was plenty of smoke but the smoothness had left this cigar, at least on my palette. I put it out with about 2 inches left.

As you can see by the pictures, the ash was amazing. It held on until right after this picture.

I thoroughly enjoyed this cigar and would recommend it. Thanks for reading.

Nice review. May want to consider resizing pictures. It just barely fits on my dual monitor setup.

6X60 bc ARE SOLD OUT! We still have a few of the 6x56 Torps left.
I recommend the SPC FORCES ORIGINAL if you like a med-full smoke with lots of flavor! We have these in three sizes. I am attaching a pic of the SPC F Original.

Thanks
Rob

Re: Taboo Special Forces Boot Camp 6x60 Maduro

I smoked my first Taboo last night. This was a great cigar. Good complexity and like the review above I picked up notes of rum and nut. I also got a hint of carmel about half way through. The construction was great and the wrapper made this cigar look amazing. Like the review I did feel the cigar was a bit strong for my taste towards the very end. I took it down to about 1'' to get the full feel. That said, this cigar is a must try and has some good kick to it. I promise you won't be disappointed with this winner.

Great job with your selection Rob.
