DPG El Centurion Guerreros Review

I have been recently smoking the DPG Blacks, Blues and a lot of the Tatuaje's. Was at my local B&M a few weeks ago and surprised to see a few boxes of the El Centurion's and picked one up as I've wanted to try these. I was planning on letting this sit in the Cooler for a little while longer but opened one of my mixed singles boxes tonight and decided to fire this baby up.

Took it out of the cello and what immediately came to my attention was both the feel and the look. The feel was very stout, this was a nicely rolled cigar and felt "heavy" which usually is a sign of good things to come. The other thing I noticed was the wrapper had a great sheen to it and appeared a bit oily as a lot of my CC's are.

Lit this up and immediatle noticed a bit of pepper spice and sweet tangy citrus at the same time. The burn was firm and very even. I knew this was going to be a very enjoyable cigar. The draw was a bit tight, although not much more than a lot of the CC's I have smoked.

Around the halfway point, the draw opened up nicely, and the spice mellowed out a bit, however the nice tangy taste remained throughout and this was a great cigar - Which I expected it would be having also liked most of the other Pepin's I have smoked. I'll be adding a box of these to my collection for sure in the near future. a very enjoyable and tasty smoke. Here's a few pics:

Nice review! Sounds fantastic I have been for one of those. I have a couple resting in the humi. I love the Pepins and can't wait to fire one of those up.

Great review Yazzie!!

Sweet tangy citrus is a great observation. I've been calling it fruity.

If you are bidding for these on the devil site, you are bidding against me.

Enjoy

Sure enough, brother. I believe they made 2000 boxes. That is DPG's 1st limited release stick. I love em, I got about 30 in my locker here at the shop, hate smoking them though, because when they're gone, they're GONE!

A total of 2550 boxes. 850 boxes of each shape

CI, Holts, and Famous still have boxes. Cigar King in AZ took down 25%(638 boxes) of the release...obviously they still have boxes. It is hard to find the belli's.

Re: DPG El Centurion Guerreros

If anyone who has a couple of these they would be willing to part with in a trade or sale, please let me know. I'd like to try one or two of them before committing to buying a box. I've wanted to try one of these for awhile, but they are pretty hard to come by it seems except for boxes of them.
