Re: Partagas Black "Revisited"!!!

As requested here is my review. It was too windy and cold outside so I just said to hell with it and smoked inside. I had a delicious steak and yam dinner before and a few vodka and OJs. Listened to AC/DC Highway to Hell (entire album) while smoking. Without further adieu and rambling here's my review:

Appearance:

A nice dark wrapper with some oily spots, a couple of lumps, and small veins.

Pre-light draw:

A little tough to draw on but there were no harsh flavors coming through and I knew I’d enjoy this smoke right away.

I ran out of lighter fuel as I was toasting the foot but it only took me a couple minutes to get back in the game. This thing lit up without any problems and the smoke was immediately rich and creamy. I purge immediately after lighting only because I notice there is something to purge when putting the torch to the end. I can’t pin down a specific flavor but I can say the smoke is rich, creamy, and a pleasure to inhale. If you press me I’ll say cocoa but only due to reading prior reviews. The ash finally dropped as I enter the second third and I purged it due to some draw degradation and I just like to light the gasses because it looks cool. There is some coffee flavor coming through now and the draw is easing up along with improved burn. It was burning rather slow the first third. Purged once again as I entered the final third and it’s still as tasty as when I lit up. I’m sure some of the more experienced folks would call this a boring cigar as it didn’t change a whole lot throughout the experience. To me it tasted better than the final third or nub of most other sticks I’ve smoked. I’m definitely ordering more, maybe even a box of the Maximo so I can get the cool tubes!

I'm going to enjoy the rest of this baby while rocking out on Rockband!

Re: Partagas Black "Revisited"!!!

The first time I smoked a Partagas Black was after work that time in between lunch and dinner and it knocked me on my ass. I didn't get halfway! I've been meaning to try it again after a big meal.
