Camacho Corojo Nacionales

gnukfu was my FTG in the Newbie Sampler Trade and I was a first time trader when he hit me up with this stick. Thought I post a review of it.
0.0 - 2.0 = poor/inferior quality
2.1 - 2.9 = fair
3.0 - 3.5 = good
3.5 - 4.5 = excellent
4.6 - 5.0 = superior

1) Aesthetics: A slight sheen of oil glistened enticingly the length of this light chocolate colored stick - a darker corojo wrapper than I am used to - almost like a Punch Rothschild XXMaduro. This one was just screaming out that it needed to be smoked.
Score for aesthetics: 4.9

2) Pre-light Construction: (the music is rolling in the background) "She’s a brick... house..." Nice heft for a corona and solid. The nose says this should be a bit spicy with good solid tobacco flavors.
Score for Pre-light construction: 4.5

3) Post-light Construction/How it smoked: Volumes of smoke drew easily. As I was fishing, the burn was typical for a windy day - but the white ash held for longer than I thought it should - impressive.
Score for post-light construction: I won’t rate it here because the wind factor was in play.

4) Flavor and strength: This was not incredibly complex, nor was it what I’d call a "full-bodied" corojo. It was rich and earthy, with hints of spice. It did build up flavor as it progressed to the end.
Score for flavor and strength: 4.2

5) Aftertaste/Finish: An earthy spice lingered for a bit, with just a hint of cedar.
Score for aftertaste: 3.7

6) Aroma: I made numerous attempts to catch the sideslip of this cigar - and get whiffs of expelled smoke (I often find this my favorite part of a cigar). This was a solid smoke, loved it. Given the wind, I had to work at getting it - but I wanted all I could get. Again, the earthy spice and some cedar played tantalizingly with my nose.
Score for aroma: 4.3

7) General Comments: Thanks George for this smoke. Great... I don’t know that I’ll run out to by more of them (I prefer a bigger ring gauge), but this is one I will keep my eyes open for.
