Noob adoption March review: Taboo Exotic Maduro

This month for my review I choose a Taboo Exotic Maduro that I was gifted by MarkinCA. I had been curious about this cigar before and was eager to give it a try. The only other Taboo I have tried is the Twist, which has become one of my favorite cigars.

First Impressions:
The cigar looked good enough to eat! Just from looking at it I could tell I was going to have a great smoke. Very well constructed with a "cuban twist" on the cap. The cigar had a somewhat sweet chocolaty smell to it from cap to foot.

I toasted the foot and the burn started and remained very even throughout the smoke. From the first puff to the last I was treated with an excellent volume of smoke, and a wonderful creamy cocoa flavor. I did get a little harshness/bitterness towards the end of the last third, although I think that I was smoking a bit to fast. The thing that stood out to me about this cigar was the consistency of flavor. It was not very complex, but it remained smooth until the final nub.

Overall, I give this cigar an 8 out of 10. This confirms what I suspected and have come to expect from Taboo cigars. Excellent smoke and flavor in a quality cigar. I will def. be buying these in the future, along with more Twists of course!

Thanks again to Mark for introducing me to excellent cigars that I may have missed on my own. I am so grateful that the gorillas here are so generous and welcoming to newbies such as myself.

Thanks all!

nice review, i find these too, to be a very simple, not complex smoke. a nice maduro yard-gar. no bad flavors, just not a lot going on.
