CAO Black Review
I must say I had a very high expectation level of this cigar but thankfully it didn't let me down in the least. I picked a up a 5 pack of these from Cbid, a little more expensive then the deals I look for but after reading up on these I figured they were worth it. I had them in the humidor for at least 4 or 5 days before I finally couldn't take it anymore. Was on my way north to see a friend of mine and head out to dinner (milestone point for him, 1 year clean and sober after some pretty rough times) I lit it up in the car while I was waiting for the traffic cop to wave me through (most of the roads in my area were flooded and traffic was a nightmare)
At the first puff I allready knew these cigars were worth it. No subtle start off of flavor, full punch of chocolate, nut's, and cedar. I just sat back, put the cruise control on, popped in my favorite CD and drove while enjoying this splendid cigar. Very firm construction and a nice job on the cedar wrap these cigars had to protect them. Extremely high volume of smoke and an ash that wouldn't let go of the cigar without some major coaxing. The first quarter inch of the cigar was very intense with a lack of spice that I found surprising given the intensity of the flavors. Half way down the cigar began to mellow, adding to the flavors was a kind of berry, but so subtle it took me awhile to pin down the flavor. It's the last bit of the cigar that really shines through, the flavor stays mellow but the spicy overtone begins to come through, and, in my opinion, whenever that's missing from a cigar and suddenly starts to assert itself the rest of the flavors begin to amplify. Definately worth the price and definately one of my new favorites.

Re: CAO Black
Great review. I picked up a 5 pack of these about a month ago, and I've only had one so far. I wasn't all that excited about it, so I thought I'd let them sit for a while.

Re: CAO Black
Nice Review.
I have one sitting in the humi and I'm hoping it ends up being a good smoke. CAO's tend to leave me disappointed.

Re: CAO Black
I had the Storm tonight (Robusto). Nice little smoke, but mainly one-dimensional until the last inch. I got a wood flavor all the way through, even on the finish with some hints of creaminess. At the last inch, however, it really became a nice, complex flavor. If the longer ones in this line taste like that or develop with more to smoke, it would be a nice smoke indeed.

Re: CAO Black
They remind me of a CAO Gold where the blend has been amped up a bit & the CTS wrapper looks like it might be a shade better quality.
