Lito Gomez Diez Puro Small Batch No. 1 Review
Lito Gomez Diez
Small Batch No. 1 Size: 7 x 52 Shape: Double Corona Wrapper: Dom. Rep. Filler: Dom. Rep. Binder: Dom. Rep. MSRP: $16 Place: Back Porch Drink: Dr. Pepper I was gifted this smoke by a BOTL here and I have completely forgotten who, so my apologies, but whoever you are thanks again bro! I should preface this review by saying that I generally do not smoke $16 dollar cigars. ![]() Prelight - This is the prettiest cigar I have ever laid eyes on. The wrapper is beautiful with an almost marbled finish and it is so smooth and rich looking it looks like it was dipped in lacquer. Smells nice, not overwhelming. I clipped it with my Palio and the prelight draw was nice and smooth with a hint of pepper. ![]() First Third - I toasted the foot and lit it up and I was greeted with rich, peppy smoke. The taste is great right from the first puff, no initial harshness or bitterness. Nice white smoke and mostly white ash that is holding solid. Peppery but not overwhelming. I am also tasting a bit of leather on the finish. ![]() Second Third - Toward the end of the first third I was having a slight tunneling problem but it seemed to have corrected itself. The burn is a little uneven but I attribute that to the wind. The pepper is winding down and so is the leather. The taste is more just straight tobacco, but still very enjoyable. ![]() My "ashtray" ![]() Last Third: More of the same here. The burn evened out nicely. Toward the end the taste started to get bitter. I tried purging and that helped a bit. Eventually I cut it again and that made a big difference, returning the flavors to almost what they were in the beginning. ![]() Overall Impression: This is a damn fine cigar. It left a very pleasing aftertaste even after the smoke was long over. As great as it was I don't see myself smoking to many more of them, at this point in my cigar smoking career I would rather have three $5 smokes. Total smoking time was one hour and ten minutes. Appearance: 10/10 Construction: 9.5/10 Flavor: 9/10 Value: 5/10 Overall: 8/10

Re: Lito Gomez Diez Puro Small Batch No. 1
I smoked one of these coming home from Vegas and it was a Grand Treat! I agree $16 is way to much but I have scrapped and clawed to find me a couple of those and the #2's as they just look and taste so yummy!
thanks for the Great review!
