Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 Robusto Review

Ok I am smoking this cigar as I type with a bottle of Beck's Oktoberfest.

Nice chocolate color and the two labels just slide right off. That seems like a good thing to me at least.

I don't know much about flavor, however, it is not harsh at all, I don't mean that it's mild, just that it is a good taste and my mouth doesn't feel burnt. The burn is perfect, and there is a nice white ash that held up for about a third of the cigar and then wound up on my pants of course. There is a lot of smoke from the cigar and a good draw. I think this cigar is really well constructed.

In my opinion a very good cigar that might put off some by the price, I split a box of twenty and it was $116 but we got a five pack free so it was like a box of 25.

I as well like these cigars. Not a half bad smoke at all and the price is not bad either. Rather new to actually taking cigars serious, but this was one smoke that I liked. I was lucky enought to meet Rocky at an even here in Round Rock at an event so maybe that has colored my impression of the cigars as well I have another one in a month or so and see if the ones we got that day are what they normally ship out. Call me a cenic, but just got to know if they sliped in some ringers at the event.

I have had a couple of the 1990 vintage toros and they are a very goood smoke. Medium bodied and very flavorful. Sounds like the robustos are too.

Haven't tried the 1990 vintage, but have recently smoked the '92 and what a tasty treat. That was one cigar that I actually burnt the band, and had to take it off to get a few more puffs on it before putting it down.
