Re: Taboo: SF Original Robusto 5x54…

Recently had a person to person trade with CS member duhman where he introduced me to the SF original,WOW, did I enjoy that cigar. I have been getting more into the 'full bodied' cigars recently and added the Original SF to my list of favorites, it's close to one of my top favorites, Camacho Triple, but at half the price.

About to pull the trigger and take advantage of the CS discount, just need to take measures of my humi to determine how much room I have left, it's full.

Dave,
I believe the Torpedo SFO to be the strongest if you want to try that.
Thanks for the review

Awesome pics and fantastic review Mark! I think this may be a little too full bodied for me, but perhaps the Boot Camp would be right up my alley. Sigh, I guess my cigar budget will be blown for another month because I'm just going to have to try one now!

Nice job!

Jay

Mark, great review, pic's outstanding. Decided to pulled the trigger on the SPO Robusto. It was the Torpedo I was given, the Robusto might be a happy medium. Definately, intend to include some toro's when the twist come in. Again, Mark it is an outstanding review, thanks.

Just Smoked the 60x6 Toro, what a smoke!! Gave me a good kick in the rear for sure, had to make a few touch ups also but then again I usually let my sticks rest more than 3 days before I smoke them. Great job Rob!!!!!

I've got my sampler pack resting in my humi. Had my first Taboo HSG Sat PM. It was great. Next to try is one of these. I am looking forward to it. Thanks for the review.

DC, just may sure that you've had a nice meal prior to firing-up the SFO, and take your time between puffs. Thanks for stopping by this review...

Great review. It definitely needs a full meal ahead of time. I just finished a robustu and this is one of the strongest cigars I've ever had. Taboo blends that I've tried (Costa Rican Maduro, SF Boot and SFO) are all top notch. Pay day is just a couple of days away and I'll be adding to the Taboo stock in the humi.

Re: Taboo: SF Original Robusto 5x54…

Thanks for the replies and your support. I also love this cigar after I have smoked three or four cigars prior to or after a full meal. Some guys that smoke med. cigars will have not problem with this cigar, if they do the same. The wrapper is very thick, so you may or may not have to touch up, but the flavor is wonderful.
I just wanted to let you guys know the inventory on SFO Robusto may not last until Monday. We still have Torps and 6x60, but they are getting low also.
The support for Taboo at CS is very much appreciated
Keep an eye on the Retailer section for coupons
Thanks CS
Rob

Re: Taboo: SF Original Robusto 5x54…

Rob,

When you get time, would you give a run down on the various cigars that you offer as to whether they are "regulars" and therefore always attainable or will they be hit and miss (as the SFO Robustos seem to be at this time).

I'm sure there are other "gorillas" like me who, when they are looking at new cigars to try, want something that is always close to the same blend and always available. To me, there's nothing worse than finding a cigar you really like only to have it's supply become unreliable or dry up entirely.

I had my first of the samplers I got from you the other day--a E.B. ll Robusto. It smoked a bit wet but I enjoyed it. The rest are in my cooler at 65% for awhile.

Thanks, WyoBob

We have increased production on all Taboo blends. The only blend that I would consider to be limited would be the SFO and SFBC. The wrapper is from a small farmer in Costa Rica. We are buying up everything he has. The production should be enough to handle my locals and the CS Members. I do not spend much time in any other forums since CS has been so good to us. The SFO is a special cigar that most cigar smokers will not (strength) be able to smoke and I would expect that the production level, by the end of May, should be sufficient enough to handle the demand. The Twist is the one we sell the most of and we can easily produce enough of these to meet the demand with no problem. The HSG is not a problem nor the blends that Oliva makes for us. (Oliva makes: Conn, Costa Rica mad, African Cam and Sumatra.) Exotic Blend II are limited for now, until I can send that factory some Taboo bands.
I will continue to develop new Taboo blends until we have 15. We are at 11 blends now. It is my goal to have a Taboo blend for everyone. Try them all and find the one you like. Hopefully you can find one blend for breakfast, one for after lunch and one for after dinner? It is my goal to make it very difficult for the larger Companies to match Taboo Cigars on quality, flavor, service and overall value. I believe that most of them have MSRP's that are insane. I think we are off to a good start! I smoke and have smoked 5-6 cigars a day for about 9 years. I know what I like and what my Customers like. I developed some of the blends to my taste and the others to what I know others would enjoy. I will continue with new blends once we hit the "15" mark. About every 6-12 months we will add a new blend and drop our bottom selling blend. So, I do not care to have more than 15 Taboo blends, but I believe it will always be necessary to continue to develop new blends as our taste will change over time. I also believe you have not seen the best blends from me, yet. There are so many choices when blending the different regions of the world together and I hope to create some of the best cigars in the world for under $6. I have to especially thank my local customers for helping me test blends this last year. Someday, I wish to invite all of you to the Taboo Factory in Costa Rica. (My dream!) My Dad is moving there in a couple of years and you guys will be more than welcome to join us and help test new blends! This will put us close to the factories in Honduras and Nic that are producing and will continue to produce some of the current Taboo blends. We are fortunate enough to work with some of the best factories and growers in the world.
We currently have a new blend in development. (VERY FULL) I may have some of you help test the new blend when we are ready?

Thanks for the question and never hesitate to contact me if you need anything.
I am VERY thankful for all the CS Members that support Taboo Cigars
Rob
