Rob, I'm also happy to be a guinea pig.

And thanks for the PM answer to my SFO/BC question. I'll be calling you tomorrow.

Re: Taboo: SF Original Robusto 5x54…

I plan to expand my local "Tasting Board Members" to some of the CS Members that have ordered regularly from us. I believe in testing new blends with the loyal customers that would be purchasing them.
Do any of the other companies do this? I have never been asked to test anything from anyone. Just curious.
Thanks Fellas
Rob

Rob, you could probably twist my arm a bit to help you taste a blend or two I think it would be nice to see the SFO or SFBC in a 52 RG one of these fine days (there's something about the draw on a 52 ringer which is really nice IMHO). Lastly, never have been approached by any cigar manufacturer to sample a new blend, etc. I would think more manufacturers would take this approach to "fine tune" the particular blend for their target market myself (aka focus group)...

I have never understood why they don't do this. This is what I have done since starting Taboo. They could eliminate some of the junk they produce if they would test blends with more consumers. Maybe they think they are too good to do this? I think they only test 'In house".......?

Re: Taboo: SF Original Robusto 5x54…

Rec'd my order of SPO, and Taboo Exotic Original, they all looked good. Never tried the TEO before so after 5 hrs. in the humi I got the urge and fired one up. Enjoyed from beginning to nub, I found it well constructed, flavorable with less of a kick. Tomorrows after dinner treat will be the SPO Robusto, looking forward to comparing to the toro.
Thanks Rob

Sure wish I had seen these reviews before firing up one of these (thanks to RevSmoke) on my excursion in Arizona. Full bodied doesn't begin to describe it. Very flavorful, but it pretty near layed me out. Hadn't had that kind of expereince since the late sixties.

All the othet Taboos went over well, but I think I'll be shying away from the SFO. Definitely not for the mild-mannered types like me.

After reading all of this I guess I must be the one exception...seems everyone love's these sticks except me. Picked up a sampler a while back. To date I've smoked 2 of the SFO's & have not been that impressed. I'll break another one out tonight and give it a shot, otherwise it's back to my El Rico's.
